30 Days of Blog Posts: Day 12

Posted by with No comments
Alright, so Sunday's around these parts get pretty crazy and I'm usually never on the computer on Sunday's - thus, these Sunday posts are usually made late...

Anyways...

DAY 12: HOW YOU FOUND OUT ABOUT BLOGS AND WHY YOU MADE ONE

I HONESTLY can't remember how I first found out about blogs. It was over 3 years ago. I just know I happened across one or two somehow.

WHY I made one I do know and that is quite simply to serve as my journal. I stink at the whole paper/pen journaling stuff. It's so much easier to just sit down at the computer and type it all out. Plus, I am such a visual person that I love the fact that I am able to include pictures in all my entries. I then print off my blog and save them in a binder so that years down the road if someone wants to know more about me, they'll have my thoughts and pics to go along with it.

DAY 11: ANOTHER PICTURE OF YOU & YOUR FRIENDS

I should've read through the list a little more thoroughly and not shared all the pics I shared the first go around. I guess I'll add these ones:

My sweet baby girl...She's too young to realize she's supposed to hate me. ;)

My Maternal Grandmother....She is such an AWESOME lady. I want to be just like her when I grow up!!!

My bro-in-laws girlyfriend. She's been around since about the time Nate was born. She is just totally sweet and the kids and I love her to death! And I totally realize how pale I am - especially standing next to her - but ah well.

Yup, guess what? I fell behind AGAIN!!! And such is life.

DAY 10: SONGS YOU LISTEN TO WHEN YOU ARE HAPPY, SAD, BORED, HYPED AND MAD

HAPPY: When I am happy is when I will have my music playing on random and will most likely just let it go.

SAD: When I am sad I tend to listen to sad songs. Does nothing to change the mood but oh well.

BORED: I don't usually listen to music when I am bored.

HYPED: In my more excited moods I tend to lean towards the techno songs.

MAD: Another situation in which I don't listen to music.

I have to laugh because Eric is keeping me on my toes and making sure I get these posts made. I guess I should feel good to know that he is reading my blog. Thanks, babe! ;)

DAY 9: SOMETHING YOU'RE PROUD OF IN THE PAST FEW DAYS

JellyMuffin.com - The place for profile layouts, flash generators, glitter graphics, backgrounds and codes
Myspace Icons

Remember yesterday how I said there were some posts coming up that I wasn't excited about? This would be one of them...I guess I'm just not that proud of a person or I don't do anything worth being proud over...I dunno. We'll give this a try.

* I guess I'll start with how regularly I've been exercising. This is the best I've done my ENTIRE life! I've exercised pretty much daily for 2-3 weeks now.

* For Shaylyn's birthday party (more on all her birthday stuff will be coming soon), we played a Pin The Tail On The Donkey type game, but with Medusa's 'son'. Because the quality of the image wouldn't have been great blown up, I had to free hand the character and the snakes. I am not an artist, by any means - but it looked okay. Shaylyn was pleased, so that was good enough for me. And I thought I took a picture of it, but I guess I didn't. :(

* I got good reports from PT conferences about Tanis and Shaylyn. (Lex's teacher is out on Maternity Leave, so I didn't get a chance to talk with her)

* I won a free book the other day. I won't get it for a few weeks, but I'm excited about it. And I suppose it's not really a 'proud' thing - but whatever.

DAY 8: SHORT TERM GOALS FOR THIS MONTH AND WHY

Honestly, I don't really set goals - especially short terms goals. I'm not good at the whole following through process, so I don't even begin. I don't make New Year's Resolutions either.

However, in the spirit of these posts I will share 2 short terms goals because that's about all I can think about.

GOAL #1: Continue to workout every week day:
Besides the obvious reasons for working out that often, I've found that it gives me the energy to do the things I need to get done in a day. If I work out right after the kids leave for school, I am so much quicker at getting the house clean and getting ready for the day.

GOAL #2: Post these 30 days of posts ON the day they should be posted:
I am putting this here because there are a few posts coming up that I'm not sure I'm comfortable doing or even that I'll enjoy (this one for instance I put off because I don't like it). Wish me luck with this one....

DAY 7: A PICTURE OF SOMEONE/SOMETHING THAT HAS THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON YOU

I'm going to go a few different ways with this...Hang on for the ride...

First and foremost:

Besides Eric practically threatening me to choose him, I would've anyway. Now besides the super mushy stuff I could say about why he has the biggest impact on me, I'm going to go with the less obvious and hopefully a bit less mushy.

Eric pushes me to be a better person. He doesn't always tell me what I want to hear - he tells me the truth. There are times the truth hurts, but at times it's necessary. Eric entered my life at a very crucial time. I could've gone down a much worse road had he not entered my life. Eric is honestly my lifeline and he is what gives my life direction.

Next up:

Okay, how can children NOT have an impact on you? Seriously. Each one of my children has taught me something about myself not previously known. They are examples of virtures I need to work harder on possessing. They've taught me that all kids need to be treated differently and they each have special needs. There is nothing better than hearing a very innocent, but so very true, "I Love You."

Now:
NieNie is a plane crash survivor and mother. She is such an example of looking not on the outside but looking on the inside. And no, I don't know her personally, but how amazing would it be to know someone that can see the positive side of things almost all of the time?

Finally:

There are so many emotions I have on this subject. It is really hard for me to see this picture or to see videos depicting his death. I cry all the time! I am thankful for such a person that would take on the sins of EVERY single person on this earth and do it lovingly.
