3 Months

Little Zach is 3 months old!

For some reason I didn't do a full out 'photo shoot' this month. It was a crazy month. But, at least I did get some pictures of him on his 'birthday.'

Happy #60 Mom

Posted by with No comments
My mom turned 60 on her birthday. My older sister knew we had to make the day special, so we planned a surprise party.

My older sister also teaches some sort of Math at a college level and so occasionally she acts us to fill out random questionnaires for statistics. This tactic worked well to figure out what we should serve for dinner and dessert.

We also had my little brother and sister use their gift of lying to get my parents to my sister's house. The story was that my little brother was headed somewhere and broke down close to my sister's house. So he called my dad for help. My dad was part of the lying party and used his best acting skills to act as if he was all put out that he had to help my brother. Somehow he convinced my mom to come along for the drive.

The grandkids were anxious for Grandma to arrive, as evidenced in the video below. My mom was also super surprised and was happy that we remembered her.

My sister also put together a little posterboard picture of how close we all are to the grave. It was kind of funny.

After dinner and dessert, we gave my mom her gifts. I gave her a video slideshow of her life. She thought it was pretty fun.

April's Antics

April was full of fun activities...

{...YE OLDE RENAISSANCE...}
Lex being in sixth grade meant he had to participate in their Renaissance Faire. Thankfully this kid went with a simple 'project' and took drinks. However, his costume cost some money. He wanted to be a knight, so because I wasn't in the mood to be creative and we found a costume for a good price, he became a costumed knight. He made it look good.

{...CARTOONS OF THE 90'S, REBORN...}
There was a cartoon I knew about when I was a teenager, but I never watched it. However, there was enough advertising about it that an image stuck in my mind. And image that Lex inadvertently created one day during Spring Break...

{...CUTIES...}

{...NON-HIRED HELP...}
While cleaning the bathroom one day, Jace said, "I wanna help." So I gave him his own gloves and let him help me. How can you say no to that cute little face.

{...JUST BECAUSE...}
One day this appeared on the porch. It was delicious and so needed. Just wish I knew WHO it came from.

Eight Is Great

Nathaniel turned 8 this year. He was pretty excited for this birthday so that he could finally go to Scouts.

We gave him his gifts when Daddy got home from work. (He requested only one thing, we delivered) We then gave him his cake which was a crazy kind of cake, but he loved it. He had a great birthday.

A few days later we celebrated again with Eric's mom. She is always pretty good to remember the kids birthdays and to make sure we celebrate them.
